Could I replace my guitar's PRS tuners with PRS Phase III locking tuners?

The PRS Phase III tuners were specifically designed for the models that feature them. These tuners are not a direct replacement for the S2 tuners or any of the tuners we’ve used in the past. However, they are a replacement for PRS vintage style tuners. They can be fitted to guitars with prior tuner versions, yet the mounting holes will not align to the existing holes and drilling may be required. This is probably best serviced by our PTC Service.

Please note that each style of tuner will leave a footprint which may be visible if you change the tuner for another type.

Pre-2011 McCarty model, PRS12 string models, and Core Silver Sky cannot accommodate Phase III tuners as a replacement.

Current Core models will accept Phase III tuners as a replacement for Vintage Tuners.
