Materially speaking, the S2 Series starts with a smaller dimensioned top wood and the maple has subtler figure. The starting dimension of the neck wood is also much smaller - this is made possible by utilizing a scarf construction process. Scarf construction, combined with a unique order of operations in which we radius and fret the fretboard before attaching it to the neck, results in an efficient build process that creates a durable, comfortable, playable neck. The Satin finish S2 guitars go through a faster finish process than high-gloss models and pickguard models are more quickly assembled than guitars with back-routed electronics. S2 Series guitars also come in a nylon gig bag to make heading to your gig that much easier. All of this and more leads to a more affordable guitar.
