The tremolo found on the Maryland-made Silver Sky models is a variation on the PRS-patented tremolo design: a tremolo system with knife edge mounting screws, featuring some unique characteristics.
This bridge, unlike the other PRS tremolo systems, has a different approach to setup:
- The back of the bridge is setup flush to the top of the body.
- The front of the bridge should kick upwards and will measure 1/32” (0.78mm) from the top of the guitar body to the bottom of the tremolo’s front edge.
The saddles of this bridge feature a vintage style of metal plating, known as electroless plating. This makes the plating very thin; we recommend wiping the bridge down after each use and adding a thin coating of machine oil or carnauba wax to preserve the plating and prevent rust.
