Submitting a Request for Warranty Service
If you are the original owner of a PRS instrument and are experiencing problems that you feel are warranty related, please contact your authorized PRS dealer immediately. Your dealer can evaluate the instrument, and if need be, they can assist you in sending the guitar back to PRS for further evaluation.
If the authorized PRS dealer your instrument was purchased from is not local to you, you may submit a request to send your instrument to PRS directly by visiting the following link: Submit a request – PRS Guitars
A PRS Customer Service Representative will assist in troubleshooting to narrow down the issue and provide shipping information if it cannot be resolved remotely.
Instruments may only be shipped to PRS for evaluation after a return authorization number is acquired from PRS Customer Service.
Submitting a Request for Warranty Parts
When submitting a request for parts, please provide the following information with your request:
- Your name, shipping information, and phone number.
- The serial number of the guitar and proof of purchase.
- Image(s) or video(s) of the issue.
- Details on any troubleshooting steps already taken.
Parts Limitations
- PRS Guitars does not have any outside authorized technicians; our only authorized service center is our in-house PRS Tech Center (PTC). We are unable to guarantee or warrant the work of outside technicians.
- PRS Guitars is not responsible for any injury or damages that occur as a result of you or an outside technician enacting a repair on your instrument.
- If you are unfamiliar with the work required to enact a repair, we recommend seeking assistance from a trained technician.
Per PRS Guitars company policies, there are limitations on the types of parts that can be sent out for repairs.
Limitations on guitar components:
PRS is unable to send replacement guitar bodies or necks (including veneer, fretboards, fretwire, and inlay) under any circumstances. If you are experiencing an issue that would warrant this type of replacement, a PRS Customer Service representative can make arrangements to bring your guitar into our tech center for evaluation.
If a replacement pickup is requested, the original pickup must first be returned to PRS for evaluation before the replacement can be shipped.
Depending on the age and model of your guitar, we may no longer produce the exact part your guitar was originally designed with. If this is the case, your guitar may need to be modified to accommodate a current-spec part, or the original part would need to be sourced aftermarket.
Limitations on amplifier components:
Caution: Amplifiers utilize levels of voltage that may cause serious injury or bodily harm. If you are unfamiliar with the maintenance of tube amplifiers, we recommend seeking assistance from a trained amplifier technician.
PRS is only able to send out components that are serviceable by the end user. These components include tubes (warrantable 90 days from the date of purchase), fuses, footswitches, feet, input cables, speaker cables, and footswitch cables.
Other components are not considered end user serviceable and cannot be provided by PRS Customer Service.
